We know what you’re thinking. Why pay for news at SVSU when you can get it from the competition?

Well, for one, if you’re a student, you’re already paying. That’s right — each year, the competition shakes down SVSU students to the tune of more than $40,000 per year — and there’s nothing you can do about it. Want a refund? Too bad. SVSU’s ‘publication fee’ is non-refundable. At least with our news, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to pay.

Then of course, there’s the obvious reason: when you read The Saginaw Valley Journal, you’ll actually be getting the news. Even the Columbia Journalism Review thinks so. Last year, a research assistant from the prestigious journalism periodical said, “The Saginaw Valley Journal seems to be a more legitimate news source than The Valley Vanguard.”

The plan includes news on campus events, SVSU athletics, student organizations, Student Association, media, and featured articles. ‘Faculty level’ is just a label: anyone may purchase Faculty Level Access (and vice-versa).

Administration Level Access — $79.95

The administration level subscription plan is our premium subscription plan and includes all-access to Saginaw Valley Journal content online. The plan includes news on administration and faculty affairs, campus events, SVSU athletics, student organizations, Student Association, media, editorials, op-ed columns, letters to the editor, and featured articles. ‘Administration level’ is just a label: anyone — even students — may purchase Administration Level Access (and vice-versa).
